VINCENNES — The Bedford North Lawrence baseball team found its way back on the winning track in a big way Monday night at Vincennes Lincoln. "It`s a long bus ride over there and the kids did a good job of getting off the bus and getting focused," said BNL coach Jeff Callahan. "We had a pretty good infield and went out and got on the board in the first inning, which is huge." "I was real proud of all the players, they all did a great job tonight." Leading 2-1, BNL right fielder Jack Green smashed a solo home run to right center to start the Stars` second inning and push their lead to 3-1.

BEDFORD — If Bedford North Lawrence’s opening win over Scottsburg played like a Lou Reed hit — there was many a walk on the wild side — then Game 2 hummed along more like a peaceful, easy feeling Saturday at windy-but-sunny Stars Field.

The 2014 BNL Baseball conditioning program came to a close this week with the first ever Victory Challenge. The players were divided into 6 teams with the juniors and seniors serving as captains for the teams. Twenty events constituted the challenge. Players were tested mentally and physically over the two days of competition.
