BEDFORD — It was by far the biggest win of the season Thursday night for the Bedford North Lawrence baseball team. Tow 7th-inning grand slam helps power Stars to 9-8 victory. “We met as a team and talked because we were very disappointed in our loss at Madison,” said BNL coach Jeff Callahan. "We have some tough teams left on the schedule and I told them we can go one of two ways: We either need to get the ship going in the right direction and start playing well and win some games, or it could get ugly. "This is the type of win against a quality opponent that could really get that ship headed in the right direction."

BEDFORD — If Bedford North Lawrence’s opening win over Scottsburg played like a Lou Reed hit — there was many a walk on the wild side — then Game 2 hummed along more like a peaceful, easy feeling Saturday at windy-but-sunny Stars Field.

The 2014 BNL Baseball conditioning program came to a close this week with the first ever Victory Challenge. The players were divided into 6 teams with the juniors and seniors serving as captains for the teams. Twenty events constituted the challenge. Players were tested mentally and physically over the two days of competition.
