BNL Stars - Senior Recognition

Grant Dalton  
 

Grant Dalton started playing baseball at age 5, dragging a bat to the plate to hit off a tee. His future in the game was placed on a tee for the sweet stroke of a pen. 

Dalton, Bedford North Lawrence’s senior outfielder, signed to continue his career at Southeastern Illinois College, a two-year junior college program that’s been a stepping stone to other levels. After completing his final season with the Stars in 2022, he’ll fly higher with the Falcons.

Dalton, who also played wide receiver in football, plans to major in kinesiology, with the goal of eventually becoming a chiropractor.  

   
Kylar Fisher  
 

Kylar credits his love of baseball to his father Jason who is a Chicago Cubs fan. Kylar beginning his baseball career at the early age of 6 years old.

His favorite baseball player being Javier Baez who played for the Cubs and now has signed on to the Detroit Tigers. 

Fisher has played on traveling teams at the age of 13, with the " Demand the Command" and moved on to play with the Indiana Expos at the age of 14. 

Fisher was able to play his freshman year with the BNL Stars, then his sophomore and junior years at Almont, MI. 

He plans to play baseball for Earlham College next year.
   
Grant Todd   
 

Grant Todd joined the 2022 BNL Baseball as a team manager. However, his leadership abilities has provided a vast wealth to the program. 

Todd was selected as the Captain of the 2022 BNL Football Team. "Grant was the first player I looked at and went to for my first captain," Derrick Barker said. "First off, he's just a great young man, and I felt like he was they type of person that not only  young players, but also seniors and other veterans would look up to and follow. 

"Grant is really smart, he's a nice kid, has a great personality whether he's out hanging with other kids, or you'll see him out a baseball game, softball game, volleyball or whatever and he's talking to people of all ages.

"He knows how to lead and he's really just everything you want in a team captain."

Grant plans to study Healthcare in college.

Meaning of a BNL Baseball Player

Being a BNL Baseball player is an honor and wearing "Stars" across your chest gives our players a sense of pride and confidence.
